Are there ENERGY STAR certified commercial windows?

  • Updated

No. ENERGY STAR currently only offers certification for windows, doors, and skylights (WDS) designed for installation in residential buildings. In the definition section of the ENERGY STAR window, door, and skylight Eligibility Criteria, a residential building is defined as: a structure used primarily for living and sleeping that is zoned as residential and/or subject to Residential Building codes. For the purposes of ENERGY STAR, Residential Building refers to buildings that are three stories or less in height. ENERGY STAR energy analysis, cost analysis, and payback assumptions for WDS are only done for residential structures.
